How this explains that more than one level of directories were in the list when searching at the current level only?
It does not, it would explain this one, though:
sometimes just empty (while there should have been found entries)

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
