Total Commander

That's a bit tricky to determine. If you check the shortcut with "File Information->Details", it will say that you can download the file, but it's lying. If you try and download via the shortcut, you'll get an error. You have to check this menu option to see the real file permissions: "File Information->Show File Location", then you can see the actual file and check "File Information->Details" to see that you can't download the file.

An easy way to program for this case is to try and download the file and if you get an error, then you know you don't have permission. Then you can try to play the video without downloading.

Did you try this with Total Commander Media Player, e.g. by putting the URL in a text file named test.m3u8 ?

I just tried the test of the m3u8 file in Total Commander and I get a playback error.

Wie bekomme ich das auf Android TV ans laufen? Beim einbinden kommt immer "Du hast keine App dafür" ...

Kann mir da jemand helfen?

Sie benötigen einen Web Browser für das Login. Leider ist Google sehr wählerisch was Browser angeht. Ich würde mal folgende probieren:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.internet.tvbrowser
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phlox.tvwebbrowser
Falls das nicht geht, müssen Sie Chrome oder Firefox als apk installieren (sideload).

DANKE für die Prerelease, leider ohne Erfolg.

Die oben genannten Browser werden nicht erkannt. Desweitern lassen sich die genannten Browser per Sideload nicht installieren unter Android TV-Betriebssystemversion 12.
Ich habe auch noch Edge probiert, der wollte auch nicht.

Eine andere Aalternative vielleicht parat?

Oh wow, you did it! I just tested on my BlueStacks emulator on Windows. Total Commander launched a browser and successfully played the video via a Google Drive read-only shortcut file!!

I'll test again later tonight on my Shield TV, but this looks good!

Just tested the new plug-in on my Shield TV, and it works! Good job!! I think Total Commander is the only android app that can play files though a Google Drive shortcut. Excellent!

Ich habe per Sideload alle möglichen Browser probiert, leider keine Chance diese zu installieren.
Die anderen werden nicht erkannt, bei creating your own client id geht der Browser auf, nur bei open json file passiert nichts, sprich du hast keine App dafür..

Mir gehen die Ideen aus....

Diese ruft zum Öffnen der JSON-Datei statt ACTION_OPEN_DOCUMENT die Funktion ACTION_GET_CONTENT auf, die u.a. auch vom Total Commander unterstützt wird.

Nun klappt es

Today I encountered that I can no longer log in to my Google account.

I get the message:

Please install a current Web Browser like Chrome or Firefox to log in to your account

But chrome is my default browser, and my second browser is Samsung Internet.

My Totalcmd-Drive plugin is version 2.41, My TCA version is 3.60b4

My Chrome version is 131.0.6788.81

After deleting the plugin and reinstalling it, I was allowed to choose between my two browsers and could then login. I am just wondering what could have caused the plugin not to be able to recognize the installed Chrome browser

The plugin was most probably configured to use the internal Web browser which comes with the plugin, which uses WebView2 based on the Edge browser. Google does not allow login via WebView or WebView2, you must use an external browser.
