Yes, your site looks great!
Btw, I'm looking for a solution to make plugin management easier. I'm thinking of a solution similar to a shopping cart system where I could enter the plugin info into a database, which would then be displayed via PHP or so. Does anyone know such a system?

Plugin management script
Well,
There are many scripts on the net. First and more popular... but a bit complex is PHPNuke (http://www.phpnuke.org/) it's not only download management system but also full CMS or even portal system. Although it's complex, it's easy to implement.
It would be good if you use it, because maybe changes (adding new official plugins, new faq items etc...) would be easier to notice. Now, about the fact you added a new official plugin I get from... Maxwish page
If not nuke... describe exactly what you expects from the scrpit - I'm sure we will find something... or write it for you

I've update clubtotal, thanks for all the compliments.
I've experimented with PHPnuke a bit and it's very easy to use. It's realy more of a portal system for a complete site than only for distributing downloads, but if you disable all un-needed modules, it will work quite good. It also has the phpBB in it, so you could merge it with the forum...
Other CMS's that have developped from PHPnuke are www.postnuke.com and the new www.Xaraya.com (now in beta). These last 2 have a developping team instead of only 1 author so you are less dependend on one person to fix security-holes and bugs...
Well, I'm off your the week-end...
see you all monday morning : )

While "checking out !" your allways excellent site for Plugin-updates i could'nt find on of my Favorites,
the Filesystem-Plugin Registry 1.5.3 by Vitaliy Knyazev.
It used to be in the .WFS-Section. What happened to it? Just forgotten by mistake?
P.S.: New sitedesign is very appealing. Great job!

e107 is an awesome CMS. Just like TC it is highly configurable through plugins, and really easy to setup. Quite a young CMS, but still has gotten a very big user base, and good reviews (google, and you will find).

Most of free mail account providers provide maillist services. I use Yahoo, but it's advertising-packed to the extreme.Maxwish wrote:Hi again, updated the site...

2 deus-ex & VadiMGP

could send update emails, but I would have to use some free maillist service from the web. Any suggestions ?
Once you have php on your server, you can write simple script using mail( function to send out emails.Maxwish wrote:could send update emails, but I would have to use some free maillist service from the web. Any suggestions ?
If you have problems with it, contact me. I gave you contact to me when we were emailing eachother.
After all, computers crash, people die, relationships fall apart. The best we can do is breath and reboot.
Thanks to Fabio Chelly I clubtotal now has mirror at http://clubtotal.free.fr
Advantages will be:
- no more giant lycos ad's (for the people that don't use some kind of ad-blocking)
- hopefully less problems with downloading for some people
- more webspace: 100 mb instead of 50 (the site is now about 45 so webspace was limited)
- Maillist: I can send an message to the list when I've updated the site
it you want to test it:
email to: clubtotal-request@ml.free.fr
and enter as subject: subscribe
Note1: the list is moderated, so you'll have to wait till i put you on the list
Note2: the list is still beta, so you might receive some test messages...
Please test the new mirror.
if there are no complaints I will redirect the clubtotal.tk link to it and also make the maillist public...

most plugins are aroung 200-300 kb. If it is large (example synUS ~ 1mb) I have added it as a note.
But I'll add the filesize to the file info when I have time...

Thanks, but sendmail is disabled. Free.fr has a maillist service, so i'll use that (see above)
Xaraya is is beta now, have you already had any experiances with it. When a stable version is released, I'll ask you for some help in adapting the download/upload modules for plugins...
