1. Go to Everything options, Search, uncheck the option "Match path when a search term contains a path separator".
2. Start TC 9.0β6 with clean INI file.
3. Go to any non-empty directory, press Alt+F7, leave the "Everything" checkbox turned on, leave the "Search for" field empty or enter *, press "Start search".
4. TC finds all the files and subdirs in the current directory.

5. Close 9.0β6, delete that temporary INI, start TC 9.0β7 with clean INI file.
6. Perform the same search with empty search field or *.
7. TC returns the empty list: "No files found".

I think that it's a bug in everything.

The way I solved it is described here:

07.08.16 Fixed: Everything search: Do not call Everything_SetMatchPath at all. Instead, use path: and nopath: prefix, e.g. path:c:\windows\ nopath:<note*.exe> (32/64)

What is correct way to install and use Everything?
How should I see that all is ok?

Currently installed Everything with default settings, TC is 9.0b14, search for 'help' in 'c:\'
Everything displays results immediately, TC slow (not so slow like usual search, but many times slowly then Everything).
