@Sombra
When the cursor is over an directory the possibility of push the key F3 and view in a window (lister) the chart with visual dir size, idem as text, images, etc.
It's not possible because of TC lister plugin interface. On directory you can only use Ctrl-Q but not F3.
Of course, my sugestion for you ask, would be:
B: Bar chart
P: Pie chart
K: Block chart?
this shortcuts can be intuitive for english language, but for diferent language... uuuumh..
Right. What for different languages :?: That why I waited for proposals.

@djorge
i've tested VSD 1.3 beta and it looks amazing. Good work!
Thank you :)
Just one whish: In block view mode, there always an empty space that is not related to a directory. You could use this empty space to show the available space in the disk.
TC shows this already next to Drive selection list. You can use also Ctrl-L shortcut.

@Clo

I've downloaded the package and I must say Good Work :!: :D . Thank you!
I'll include it in next beta
I have sent you the help-folder two days ago
Strange, I still haven't received it. Are you sure you use right email address?

Right address---

Post by *Clo »

:) Hello !

- Glad to hear that you like our job!
- I have sent the first email and attachment to :
kzoladekATo2DOTpl which is the address you give in the Help…
- Maybe you mail server refuses the SQX format as attachments ?
B: Bar chart
P: Pie chart
K: Block chart?
B is good in French, German, Italian and Spanish too…
P is not mnemonic at all, since we call that vividly "Camembert".
- The best classic word is "Sectors", so S could do the trick in French too (Secteurs) if free…
K is not mnemonic in French, maybe C could be convenient, since it's in the English word Block and final in French Bloc

• Talking of “Block Chart” : Like you can see in the French help on the capture, this builds so huge windows, even with a few items inside…
- So, a -ticklish- question : could it be possible to get a scale smaller than "1" ? Not a full "Zoom out", but maybe only "0.5", or written with another syntax like i.e. : 1:2 or : 1/2 or so… ?

• Export the report as an image only : It works properly, but the JPEG format is not a wonder for such images, it's too lossy… IMHO, I guess that PNG should look much better with a reasonable size still, since it can be pretty compressed, but lossless…
- Or else, maybe an option to export the image simply as BMP, this is not a big deal to convert it then as PNG or another format in XnView or similar (delete the BMP after the conversion, indeed, this can be done automatically in XnView). What do you think ? :D

:mrgreen: Kind regards,
Claude

Adress is correct.

I've tested it and I received my mail with attached your SQX file.
So problem must be somewhere else...

Well problems start when complaining only three shortcuts but VisualDirSize should contain sixteen. I'm waiting for complex proposals (with all shortcuts and containing those limitations)

I disabled values smaller than 1 because they are useless. You'll simply get only gray blocks.
Proposal with syntax is interesting. I'll consider it.

Well, I used JPEG because I have such freeware library in my Delphi. Other thing is that every user can open jpeg file because it's very popular format. (to open other formats you'll have to use Irfan- or Xn-View).

No problem

:? No idea… This occurs very rarely…

• All TC users have a viewer to display images, this is not a problem !
- And also, the most are using Lister plugins for this, so a pretty bunch of formats is supported.
- Moreover, PNG is too a very popular format nowadays…

• You could get a nice free SDK graphic libraries set, please just give a glance HERE.
{Apart : BTW, being on that forum, just see who is the top-poster -after the Team ;) }

:mrgreen: Kind regards

I support it (also is good in spanish language)
S: Sectores = sectors = secteurs = sektoren

2Ragdd

:) Hello, Welcome aboard !

• Like this is clearly indicated in the Help, only CTRL+Q is able to open the plugin…

- Indeed, a button should be convenient too, but I don't know if this is possible technically…

Claude

Default browser

Post by *Clo »

2Sombra

:) Hello !

• Thanks to support that short cut !

• I guess that the browser which is opened by the Help command is the Win DEFAULT browser, not always I.E. !
For instance, here I use the “Maxthon” interface, and the Help is displayed in it alright !
- You must state your browser as the default one, generally this is an option available with all browsers…

Claude

Specific ?

Post by *Clo »

2Vansumsen

:) Hello Paul !

• I thought that Ragdd meant a specific button, able to open the plugin only when it's needed, thus when there is at least one folder in the panel…
- With the command #304, the Quick View shall be open anyway, even when the plugin is not needed, i.e. when there is just a file to display…

:mrgreen:  Friendly,
Claude

A really great plugin. Works for me very stable.

One question: Is it possible to view the root of a drive? It is a very important
feature for me and it would be nice if it could :)

Because my english isn't really good, I didn't read all pages. Sorry if the
question should be already put or even solved...

Murphy

Yes, but you must first view a folder, for instance C:\ANYDIR and then in the plugin window hit the up arrow button.

@Murphy
You can additionally do a mouse right double-click to go to the parent folder.

Does not work for me... nothing happens.

Nothing happens, too... But I am wondering about a right double-click, I never heard before. Where should I click?

Then I tried something different:
If I activate the checkbox in configuration -> display -> show parent dir also in root of drive and select it with STRG+Q I only get a "?" in the display.

Is something adjusted in my TC? What to do?

First of all download newest version of VisualDirSize here.
Then select directory and press Ctrl-Q to run plugin. On buttonbar you will find green arrow. Press that button to go parent folder.

Click everywhere in chart territory.
You can left double-click on folder to drill into the corresponding subfolder and right double-click everywhere on chart to go to parent folder.

It's because of limitation of TC lister interface. Maybe in next versions of Total Commander it will be possible.
