Example of what I did a few minutes ago:
I wanted to delete a multipart .rar file.
Ctrl+A, Ctrl+S, typing filename until nothing else left, delete.

With your solution and bad luck I could delete something else during this process.

2m^2 When I use your discribed way, then I lost the focus to the panel and I have to reactivate it.
Is this intended? I didn't read every thread here, so I'm not sure if it just reported yet.

Please
1. Read thread if posting on it (The topic is quite different to loosing focus)
2. Post bug in bug forum.

That's strange. I just retried: no focus is lost.

Hmm, the focus is on the quick search field. But delete is different between F8 and Del-Key.
F8 is working, Del not. I think I have to move to the bug forum.

In this case del applies to the letter after the cursor in the dialog. Correct IMO.

I see, my personal handling. I never use F8, Del is the standard key. Otherwise left key in Quick sarch dialog didn't work, so you have to place the mouse over. Shrug :?:

Esc dismisses the quick search dialog too.

... and brings focus back to panel. Thanks for your support, this brings me some steps forward!

Del is not redirected to the main list, for security reasons - it can be used to delete characters selected with the mouse.

I try to redirect most other hotkeys, but it's unfortunately not possible to redirect all, there are just too many.

If you want, you can list those which should be redirected to the file list in any case.

Unfortunately, I don't understand what you mean, could you please explain?

There is one thing that is redirected while it shouldn't IMO.
Arrows.
Now when I press <-, TC opens command line instead of moving cursor left.

The question is - which keys would we like to affect the file list instead of the quick search box?
