Could you please test HTMLView with the TC beta 7? Christian added masking of SSE exceptions, so it should no longer crash. I will test it myself too, I just cannot do it at the moment…

Hello, romulous.

Windows 2003 Std SP2, 64-bit, classic theme
I.E. 7
Total Commander 8.0ß6 64-bit
HtmlView 1.2.5 64-bit

Server 2008 R2, 64-bit, classic theme
I.E. 8
Total Commander 8.0ß6 64-bit
HtmlView 1.2.5 64-bit
Hello, Flint.
Too bad. Cannot reproduce the crash on T.C. 8.0ß6 64-bit.
Good news: No crash using T.C. 8.0ß7 64-bit either on the two machines above either.
Yet, what does this tell you as I could not reproduce the problem on T.C. 8.0ß6 64-bit? Not too much, I am afraid.
Maybe the problem depends on one of the I.E. components which Htlmview uses. This is why I mentioned the installed I.E. versions.
Kind regards,
Karl
Hm, cannot reproduce it.romulous wrote:Sure. Win 7 64bit.

The crash occurred in d3d10warp.dll file which is from Direct3D 10 (but don't ask me what it has to do with HTML!), so at least NT6 kernel is required (there is no DirectX 10 for NT5.x). I don't know why you cannot reproduce it in 2008R2 though. Maybe, libraries are different, or DirectX is not used there at all (indeed, why should it be active on the server Windows version?).
However, I could now test it myself in Win7 x64 and confirm that crash does not occur anymore in beta 7.
