Works OK in Windows XP with previously provided portraitmovie.mp4, but nothing more. It crashes when minimized and doesn't clean its window when the video playback is finished.ghisler(Author) wrote: 2021-06-18, 16:57 UTC it would be great if some of you could test whether the following sample app shows your video correctly (upgright and without extra borders):

Re: MP4 Video wrong orientation if made in portrait
Thanks for your tests! I noticed that the filter crashes when reducing the height or width to 0, so this may be the reason of the crash when minimizing.

I didn't try resizing or minimizing earlier, but can confirm the crach if I reduce the height to 0 or minimize. I cannot reduce the width to 0.

Re: MP4 Video wrong orientation if made in portrait
Hi all,
I've read the entire topic but to be honest I did not get much... I use MPC (cinema) as my main player, and vertical videos come has horizontal, which is supper annoying. I know the issue is to with the videos because if I open them with Windows Films & TV app they come as vertical.
Any way to correct this?
Thank you for your help.

Re: MP4 Video wrong orientation if made in portrait
No problems here using the MPC from the K-Lite codec package, which is installed system-wide.
I have many such videos and they are all rotated correctly using the MPC from TC.

Re: MP4 Video wrong orientation if made in portrait
TC uses the orientation flag from the video itself, as written by phones when recording a vertical video.
