Re: Directly show the list of folders of all open tabs
I made another small change in RC3: When you open the tabs list with parameter 1, then an asterisk * will be put as first character in the quick search string. You can start typing the name without the need to press * first. This also makes parameter 2 almost obsolete.

Do you have an asterisk * in the quick search when you start typing?sa16 wrote: 2024-01-31, 12:53 UTCСonfirmed.ghisler(Author) wrote: You can start typing the name without the need to press * first.

Asterisk appears when I start typing. TC11.03x32_RC3.

Re: Directly show the list of folders of all open tabs
Not on my system. No asterisk and I cannot type anything unless I type * first.

Maybe because of that? Quick search (Ctrl+S) must be enabled.

Not confirmed either.white wrote: 2024-01-31, 11:10 UTCNot confirmedghisler(Author) wrote: 2024-01-31, 08:03 UTC I made another small change in RC3: When you open the tabs list with parameter 1,

![]()
The asterisk is missing and this is very important,
because otherwise I can't get to the desired entries.

Re: Directly show the list of folders of all open tabs
You mean Quick Filter? Yes, that's it. Quick filter must be enabled beforehand. If I click the Quick filter button and press Esc and try again, it doesn't work.

Yes, sorry for the inaccuracy. You mean Quick Filter?
Re: Directly show the list of folders of all open tabs
My observations:
An asterisk is only automatically inserted when Quickfilter is on.
An asterisk is only automatically inserted when using cm_SrcTabsList 1 or 3 is used not with cm_SrcTabsList 2.
When using cm_SrcTabsList 3 the list of open tabs is showing the tab paths - it could be debated that it should show tab headers (if last used) - depending on whether 2 or 1 should determine that.

Thank you for pointing out parameter 3.
- QuickSearch eXtended Version 2.3.1
- TC Configuration > Quick Search > ◉ Letters - with search dialog
cm_SrcTabsList 1
- OR -
cm_SrcTabsList 3
In my case, there is NO star in this constellation.
What is striking for me is that I always get an expected search result with cm_SrcTabsList 2 (NO star).
With cm_SrcTabsList 1 or cm_SrcTabsList 3 I only get an expected search result WITH A STAR.
