After many and many betas released over the past few months, finally its time to announce the 0.8.1 stable version with some more refinements, updated languages and a smoother GUI (filtering & search has been enhanced as well). I wanna say thanks to the community, to all of you reported bugs & posted feature requests, thus helping me to improve the quality and conduciveness of the software. Special thanks to all the translators for their quick & precise work!

The string was already there from 0.7B4, the feature just didn't get implemented until the recent versions (i was focusing on the recognization & compare methods along other things, and somehow forgot about it). It isn't used elsewhere in TU, just for the filter radiobuttons.

These messages are appear when selecting TU Plugin Database / Checksum Database and pressing <Alt>+<Enter>.

Also, I think, that "Search for updates" button should always be in enabled state, even when I choose 'Updatable only' option.

No, the way you do it right now totally makes sense. Just imagine leaving the "Search for updates" enabled when no items are in the update list. You will be swamped with reports of users clicking like crazy on "Search for updates" and complaining that nothing seems to happen.

A typo, I've seen for a long time already but always forgot to report it (until now): On the update tab, the installed Beta version of Total Commander is displayed with a "P" in it, i.e. "8.50Pß5" (Screenshot).

Thanks! It was the same case for me too (even though I visited totalcmd.net regularly), this is why I started developing TU. ^^

Okay, I'm leaving its behavior unchanged for now. We may come back to it later...

It seems the "Segoe UI Semibold" font can't be found on your system & TU still wants to apply it for the dialogs because the wincmd.ini's "FontNameWindow" key is null. In the next version I'm going to check if the fonts exists in the OS as well, so such error shouldn't happen - thanks for reporting it.

Actually this is intentional - in case you take a look on "history.txt" inside the directory of Total Commander, you can see that Christian does use multiple / different labels for the same versions. E.g. it is "8.50ß5" for the the window caption of the latest version, while its history file contains "8.50Pß5". I won't going to override it, since it doesn't cause any harm at all...
