Re: ShellDetails 1.26 (Content plug-in)
A user has complained that the column "Description" was missing on Windows 10 , but was present on Windows 7. I asked him to add the field manually to ShellDetails.ini, so he copied the column from his Windows 7 installation, which worked.
If someone else here also misses the "Description" column, here are the settings for the shelldetails ini file:
[{6A9EEB69-672C-4B73-B1F3-A6EF662CF3C2}100]
Caption=Description
UseDefault=1
State=131809

Re: ShellDetails 1.26 (Content plug-in)
'Word Count' works only for DOC and not DOCX files?
Re: ShellDetails 1.26 (Content plug-in)

In Total Commander version 9.51 32 bit (2020-03-25) I get no field contents for "Word count", e.g. for .doc and .docx documents.
Total Commander version 9.51 64 bit (2020-03-25) works fine for me.
I have the following entries in
%COMMANDER_PATH%\Shelldetails.ini
Tested with:
Microsoft® Word 2013 (15.0.5233.1000) MSO (15.0.5233.1000) 32-Bit - Part of Microsoft Office Professional 2013
Windows 10 Pro (x64) Version 1909 (OS build 18363.815)
Could you please check?
Thank you!
Code: Select all
[=shelldetails.Wortanzahl] ... Wortanzahl (German) <=> word count (English)

Re: ShellDetails 1.26 (Content plug-in)
I've advised to use shellDetails for word count... and tested with DOC.
This is not working for DOCX even if in details tab of the file properties the word count appear correctly..
Also on windows 10 64bit with office 64bit and TC 32bit word count returns no result for both doc and docx... (I even have sometime on TC64Bit strange result)

Re: ShellDetails 1.26 (Content plug-in)
I get some weird numbers instead of word/page count for DOCX files while DOC files work fine.
BUT in File Explorer BOTH docx and doc files work fine. Here's screen shot of both TC and File Explorer.
I use TC 9.51 64-bit.

Maybe you could allow
to find pictures with no rating/stars.
Please see Search by file attribute 'Rating'.
Thank you!
EDIT:
I have now learned what a tilde '~' is in connection with rating of a photo.
EDIT2 (8.5.2020):
Please see also the hint from tbeu regarding content plugins.
Maybe you could allow
Code: Select all
Plugin Property OP Value:
shelldetails Rating < 1
Please see Search by file attribute 'Rating'.
Thank you!

Maybe you could add this option as well?IanP wrote:I found with the ratings that if I rated a photo and then unrated it (not in total commander, but within the app I use)
this causes the rating to be set to '~'.

That sounds interesting. So far getting this information didn't work for me.

In the meantime, solutions to the following topics have already been announced:Lefteous wrote: 2020-05-11, 11:40 UTC 2tuska

Is there a way to count words in documents like File Explorer can? - [=office2007.Words]
Search by file attribute 'Rating' - ('~', 'Xmp.xmp.Rating')
Re: ShellDetails 1.26 (Content plug-in)
Hi,
I installed this plugin today with TC 10B3.
I tried to see the attribute named 'Availability Status' in Windows Explorer and it worked. Thank you!
But the plugin does only show a number, and not a text (like "Available on this device" e.g. when it is located on a sharepoint drive).
Is it somehow possible to use readable text in a custom column instead of a number?
Thx

There are actually some settings in the plugin to change the returned value, but not something like number to text, sorry.

Re: ShellDetails 1.26 (Content plug-in)
Thank you for your plugin. but I have a problem in using it. When I use QuickSearch eXtended to add ShellDetails.wdx64 so i can search content plugin fields with Ctrl+S, it prompts:
Error in ContentGetSupportedField:
C:\Software\totalcmd\plugins\wdx\ShellDetails\ShellDetails.wdx64
Errorlevel: -4
Last Error: 126

Does ist work when you use the plugin inside TC e.g. directly in a custom column? If it works there, QuickSearch eXtended uses the plugin differently. In this case, please contact the author of QuickSearch eXtended.
