TC9 will use Windows native icons for the file lists and drive button bar. There are no Windows native icons which could be used for the main menu and button bar. That's what the new wcmicons.dll is for.In that confirmed features list for TC 9 I think I've seen using native Windows icons as an option. So if icons turns out not that nice I'll use that option

Well, that looks nice! However some icons look pale when menu item is focused (e.g. "C:\A" text on cm_CopyToClipboard's icon or "EXT" of cm_SrcByName's one). Perhaps these look better with blinding Aero themes but I have classic theme with menu color #D4D0C8.
You've even drawn icons for not working functions like cm_EditPermissionInfo!
PS. Stupid depisit with its captcha... It would be nicer to have download link to google/yandex drive or another cloud service.

The problem to use the Windows icon as default is that they differ from Windows version to Windows version. So I guess there are different strategies hoew to handle this.
1) Look at the icons of the different Windows versions and try to find a good compromise
2) Look at the icons of the different Windows versions and try to find something that looks totally different
3) Use the icons of a certain Windows version as base.
4) Just ignore how the Windows icons in filelists look.
On one hand there are some icons which could be used as template for the command icons. The file, folder, general app icon and some more are icons which also appear in command icons - or at least as a part of an icon. There are no Windows native icons which could be used for the main menu and button bar. That's what the new wcmicons.dll is for.

@efesreal, follow icons shows the internal ID instead "Wcmicons number":
"013, 014, 044, 054, 060, 070, 097, 106, 107, 108, 109, 122, 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 129, 132, 153, 312"
And there is an missing arrow in the 16x16 icon 163 (cm_DirBranchSel).
Why you are using different green colours for the smal folder arrows?
e.g. icon 84 (RGB: 0, 187, 0), icon 149 (RGB: 78, 154, 6), icon 163 (RGB: 75, 173, 133), ...
I hope you can fix it yet.
Best regards! And thank your fantastic work.

The second version of the new icons is available now! See first post for new download link.
The following enhancements were made:
1. Less blurry, with better contrasts
2. Selection icons as proposed in this thread
3. Unsorted icon with double arrow as the other sort icons
We did NOT simplify the icons as suggested here, to mostly keep the look so people don't have to learn everything anew.
The icons are still 16x16 only, but we are working on 32x32 now.
