(Out of Topic) Do we need a "OUT OF TOPIC" forum?
Moderators: white, Hacker, petermad, Stefan2
We have 4 OT threads on the first site out of ~50, not added are all those sticky threads, this doesn't qualify at all for a separate forum.
Also keep in mind that with opening this OT thread you are responsible for 25% of all OT threads right now.
ghisler reads every thread, no matter if it's ontopic or not so for him nothing would change with an OT forum.
Another option would be to just open more ontopic threads. Maybe currently there is not much to talk about and OT threads are just more interesting than standard questions.

Your are right, it is a question of percentage!JackFoo wrote:... I think the percentage of OT posts/threads has reached a point where it'll be beneficial to open an OT sub-forum where all these posts should go (including this post).
When Total Commander Community grows, the number of OT-posts will raise.
But it is your own decision to react or ignore.
Since we have the TCWiki, there is another way to find/contribute knowledge about Total Commander.
There are some members, who have never posted into the forum but into the Wiki.
majkinetor !
wellcome back, "junior":).I hope this time for longer...
Kind regards

This board def. doesnt need a OT Forum as this Board is only to support TC!
Everyone who needs a "Laberecke" searches himself such a Board at Google as there are tons of it..

Hoecker sie sind raus!
Help Babelfish threw up its hands and gave up on "Labberecke", as it did earlier on "frickelei". What do they mean? Can anyone suggest a better German-English translator as Babelfish seems quite poor in this regard.

Ah, I understand now. Will use LEO next time I run into trouble. Thanks for the translations and the tip!

There is no "Labberecke", only a "Laberecke":
http://dict.leo.org/?lp=ende&lang=de&searchLoc=0&cmpType=relaxed&relink=on§Hdr=on&spellToler=on&search=labern
So, a "Laberecke" is slang for a small talk meeting point.
"Frickeln" or noun "Frickelei" is German regional slang (Rhineland) for tinkering extensively.

Hej majkinetor !,
I really hate your new avatar. Maybe it's because I had some nasty clashes with norfie. It would be a relief to me if you would change it.

I noticed in the recent period a growing number of Off Topic posts, so I think it's a good idea.
The three languges is fine by me, I can handle them more or less.
But I suppose somebody has to be the moderator of this part, and I'm afraid this could take quite more energy than the more serious, technical categories. More chance on dubious statements, or 'flaming' (I think it's called?), so rules of netiquette should be maintained extra tight. Of course I hope I'm too pessimistic here, but I noticed the fuss in e.g the thread with the 'worning'.
