What program are you using to set the transparency? My favorite proggie PhotoPlus has not done it correctly.

please do background of his avatar transparent also. It will look much better with just face jumping on you without the room in behind. But this is serious work... it requires advanced PhotoShop selections. Are you able to do it ?

This is precisely what i did with PhotoPlus. The problem is that the the resulting png file is not 100% ok, IE shows it wrong, FF ok.

IE doesn't support transparent PNGs, it's outdated for years already. Maybe with IE 7 this will change.

You didn't do cutting very nice. You must use some brushing tools to have subtle changes from hair to white.

You may think it is crap because you get used to old avatar... on which there was other thing then your face, which distracts attention... now you can see pure horror of your avatar

Mainly the problem is the 6k limit, i cannot use as many colors i want, so the antialiasing doesnt work.
