POP3/SMTP EmailPlugin 1.2

What a garbage?

I use TC 6.52 on win98 and I folowe this
Installation (as filesystem plugin)
===================================
* Copy "POP3Plugin.dll" and "SampleMailXXX.eml" to your Total Commander
directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\TotalCmd)
* Copy "POP3PluginXXX.lng" in Total Commander Language directory
(e.g. C:\Program Files\TotalCmd\Language) and rename it to
"POP3Plugin.lng" (only neccessary if want have the plugin in your
own language and not in English)
* Configuration -> Options -> Operations -> FS Plugins -> Add -> Enter
"*.dll" to see all dll files of the current directory -> Choose
"POP3Plugin.dll" from your Total Commander directory
* Please read upgrade instructions below if you upgraded from version 1.x!

You will now see "POP3-SMTP Connections" in "Network Neighborhood".
but I have not possibility to "Enter
*.dll" to see all dll files of the current directory
only *.wfx are possible.

TC 7.02a even do not have FS buton on Oerations tab.

I found and use plugman 1.8 to instal plugin. Uff! But how to instal for TC powerpack 1.7 ????
Downloading mail OK.
But sending still "Error downloading file" no matter I set FileExtension=.eml or .txt and I point .eml or .txt file and pres F5 or F6.
( ist the SMTPServer=smtp.domain.caom necessary to be smtp.domain.caom )
Of course not caom but com. I had to cheat stupid system I will not wait 3 day.

I did not find exact description how to send mails.

PS
Suddenly I start receiving e-mails ( on mailbox which I used with plugin ) with my nickname in title. Wondering.
Are 10 kind of people. They which know binary system and they which don't know.

2Kowa1: Sorry for the "garbage" ;-)
Just rename the *.dll to *.wfx.

You need to specify your SMTP plus server credentials (username and password) correctly... You can use the input wizard if you are not sure about the correct syntax.

The installations documentation definitely needs an update, but I'm currently still too busy with other research stuff...

Will there be a 64-bit version of POP3Plugin.dll?

No anytime soon since the plugin was written in Borland C++ Builder 6 which is a very old version with no 64bit support. I'm considering a complete rewrite of the plugin but not anytime time soon.

There is now C++Builder XE4 with x64 support. Also I would appreciate Unicode support which probably is already supported by Borland C++ Builder 6.
