Ok, my issue is solved with "click on it". Thanks.

Please elaborate: If I read -30,697.7 M / 63,370.0 M, will it then count from -30697 to zero, then to 63370?
This doesn't make sense to me.

No, it will count from -30697 to zero, because that's the REMAINING amount of data to be copied. Copying is done when it reaches zero.
Which you click on it, it counts up to the maximum value and then it's done.

Have you tried clicking on the negative number - negative numbers are remaining file/bytes, positive numbers are copied files/bytes.
