You can also change the order TC loads the plugins.

Easiest way is to use TC Plugin Manager.

I like the plugin. One wish though: it would be nice if the calculation of the directory sizes could be cancelled with the ESC key, because for large directories this takes a while and TC is completely locked during that time.

Thanks for the plugin!

It's already possible! Simply press ESC button as long as it stop scanning.
I'll improve this option a little bit in next version..
I like the plugin.
Thank you :)

Little request: The ability to define colors also for text and background. Thanks!

Hello all :D

I have released beta version (1.1) of Dirsize.
There is many new features that need testing. Please check in history what's changed.
Note that it's beta and may have bugs. So do not use except for testing.

Changes:

Code: Select all

 - Added buttonbar
 - Added pie chart
 - Added possibility to go thru catalogs
 - Added double-click a graph to drill into the corresponding subfolder
 - Added right double-click to go to parent folder
 - Added configuration dialog
 - Support for language files
 - Support for colors schemes
 - Added option to sort directories/files names like WinXp do. (works like SortUpper=3 in wincmd.ini).
In other systems it's normal sorting.
 - Fixed Sometimes it was necessary to hold Esc key for long to stop calculating folder size
 - Other small improvements and fixes
Get it here: http://members.lycos.co.uk/kajoj100/

PS.
I need help with translations for other languages. I hope that you help me with it

PS2.
Again I have problem with shortcuts... It seems that it's impossible to assign such keys as: N P A S V W F 1-7 F5 F7 Ctrl+C Ctrl+A Ctrl+P in Lister interface.
I don't know what keys will be intuitive for users in this situation. Waiting for suggestion...

I wanted to help you to translate it into Polish but... I see you don't need it :-)

Some suggestions:

- It would be nice if I could turn off the toolbar.
- You could add the context menu.
- After clicking in one of the bars I can move into the folder, is there any way to go back (to the parent directory)?

Yes, simply double-click with right mouse button.
After clicking in one of the bars I can move into the folder
BTW It's also possible to double-click part of pie and move into the corresponding folder.

Nice plugin, just an idea what about the possibility to group the items by category, it would be nice if the plugin could use the entries defined in 'define colors by file type' to display the chart bars according to this.

ex if in 'Define colors by file type' I have the entry :
>Images (jpg jpeg png gif bmp tif)
Directory Size will compute all the file ending with the above ext and display one bar

It should be an other button in the buttonbar which should allow to group items according to the entries defined in 'Define colors by file type' if no extension are matched all items will be displayed as usual

Well, I have the Dutch translation for you. Where do you want me to send it?

Here is what I experienced:
1. In the options screen, a few places are not big enough for the translation. They need to be just a little bit bigger. The places concerned are: Aperiance (shouldn't this be appearance??) and Import TC Settings.
2. When the options window is open and I go to another program, then return to TC, the dialog is gone and I can't get to it and have the kill TC.
3. The tool tip "Show only directories", should say "Show files and folders" when it is already only showing directories.

Look here, what kajoj1 thinks about this idea... maybe, we can see such a feature with (one of the) next major release(s) :) .

I'll try to add this option in DirSize 1.2

Already corrected. Please redownload DirSize.

I know the problem. I'll try to fix it...
