d) List filter - Bug?
Sorry, I didn't understand.
CTRL+F or the button for filter to the right, is used for activate/deactivate the filter with the text in the field.
The button with a blue folder, catch the path of the selected item in the list and set it as filter.
OK, now I understand.
BUT: The blue button has a string lightly confusing. It tells only "Set path to filter", but - as you wrote above - it also activates and deactivates the filter. But the string does not change (like on the red button).
Solution 1:
Expand the feature of the button to full changing of color and string.
Solution 2:
Reduce the feature of the button to "get the path". (De)Activating will be done by the red-button.
This is what I would prefer.
Hint: you can type any letter too, for filter the list.
Perfect! Maybe you can add a feature"Ctrl-A" to select the whole string? If I want to replace the whole string i click on it, then I have to select all by hand, then delete, then type my search-string.
Problem (not a real problem, but a hint for misusing the filter)
- make a search
- use blue button; search is filtered, red button is red
- type in a search string
- go to red button: it shows "deactivate ..."
- press red button: there is no deactivation, but a new filtering with search string
