F3 should only take the selected text for searching when no search has been done before, otherwise it should continue the previous search.

Sorry? F3 (and Ctrl+F) takes selected text as dialog input,
when option "Suggest selection.." ("Text" tab) is checked.
Otherwise it takes previous text.

You need to make an extra string to duplicate 743="&File extensions:" - otherwise two string will have the same accelerator key in the FormViewOptionsImages dialog.

I was confused because F3 opens the search dialog box when it's the first search. When the dialog box is then closed without pressing search, the next F3 press will open the dialog box again instead of – what I would expect – UV starts searching the text which was previously selected.

It's a matter of taste I guess. Leave it like it is if like you like it like that.

Yes, but I have found out that it only happens if I use Lanczos resampling when resizing the bmp file.

I have tried resizing the bmp file with Imagine, IrfanView and XnView - if I use anything else but Lanczos resampling the greyed out icons look as expected.

hm. So Lancoz resampling "breaks" color of left-bottom pixel.. (color of transparency).
