Real rectangles needed

Post by *Clo »

 Alextp

:) Again…

• Ah ! That works for real rectangular motives, thank you ! We'll update the French Help a.s.a.p. !
- We could give you a translation of some interesting paragraphs about the bar creation whether you'ld be interested in.

• But it's useless to provide a test bar which is not “rectangular” really, since the programme'll not resize the motives…
- To test, it's simpler to enlarge the canvas at the bottom, in the case let's say H=28, that makes 24×28 icons.
Indeed, the bottom parts are empty, but that allows to test properly…

• I planned a portrait-shaped bar with the most original different motives.
I'll start it when I end the 29² (made by > 80% that evening).

• Whether some users would need icons larger than 32², I could think to a larger bar (needs a 50" monitor or dual !)

Keep the good job !

Hello,
Is there any way to use Universal Viewer as a Lister plugin in TC? Or in other way in order to use it in Quick View panel?
Yes, I do realize, that UE essentially is not a plugin, but is independent application. But I regard e.g. IrfanvIew. It is an external independent application as well, however it is possible to use IrfanView via TC's Quick View panel. And the same regards XnView, Quicl View Plus and some others. What about Universal Viewer?

There was a Autohotkey macro posted some time ago.
This allows to use it in Quickview mode.
Works fine for me.

Quick Question: Are unicode path names supported when opening image files (especially .jpg files)?

Alextp,

Strange. unicode path names are OK when opening movie files, but NOT OK when opening image files in my environment. UV says "unknown image format" in red letters. They are jpg files and UV can open them when their path name doesn't have unicode characters.

Also, IView doesn't support unicode. How is it possible to support unicode using IView?

Yes, NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation in registry is 0 and the "dir /x" command in command prompt shows short names. Anyway, the names of the files and each directory in question are all shorter than 8 letters. So this shouldn't be the problem. As I said, movie files are OK in unicode paths.

Let me ask you again, is unicode supported in IJL.dll and/or IView?

Yes: using shortnames. Maybe function FFileNameWideToShort works
incorrect on your OS ..

1° It does not work with Pro version !
2° Works with the Free version !

But, is the font for menus changed ??? French accent are no more displayed when they are capitals (uper case like ÉÀÙÈ...)
(?diter instead of Éditer, ?chelle > Échelle)
This occure with the two versions.

Friendly

Fonts are now displayed correctly... The error is due to my fault...
(I used a «very» bad editor when I added the new strings ! )

Sorry
