Thank you for you suggestion, critics, replies, etc. We will try to perform them all in our new version. Infact, it's a bit difficult to support several forums at once, for we have our own forum . So you are welcome there! And you will get answers quicker!

You are probably trying to register the wrong version - there is a standard and a pro version, and they have different keys.

Support for drag & drop of DiskDir contents
Hello,
it would be great if Complex CD supported drag & drop of file lists created by the diskDir plugin. This would simplify and improve my creation of backups from these lists.
Drag & drop of diskDir Contents already works fine within TC.
The file lists are read within the drag process and the corresponding physical files are written within the drop process.
Right now by dragging directories and files from these lists into the Complex CD pane only a message "error writing file..." appears. Comlex CD tries to write the list item and not the corresponding physical file, I assume.
Any supporters here for this suggestion?
regards
Joachim
p.s. I already posted the suggestion in the ComplexCD forum in January but yet received no answer. So this is my next desperate try.

I had this plug-in for a couple of months, but to be honest it just isn't necessary. I found that I never used it. With a shortcut in the TC menu to Nero Burning ROM, it was honestly quicker and easier to just use that instead (and of course it has a hell of a lot more functionality built into it as well).
I honestly can't see a real case where this plug-in would be genuinely useful. Even if you were inclined to carry a floppy disc version of TC around with you in case you are faced with a computer which doesn't have it, the plug-in is too large to include on the floppy disc along with TC. If you carry it around on CD instead then that very same CD could also easily carry the full Nero Burning ROM experience as well, so I don't see where this plug-in fits.
Still... good luck to those who use it I guess, but sometimes you need to ask yourself whether a plug-in is really necessary or not. Having a plug-in just for the sake of having more plug-ins isn't always a good idea.

Re: Support for drag & drop of DiskDir contents
As I wrote in the other thread, I suspect that such an operation fails already on the TC level. File system plugins at least do not receive an FsGetFile, FsPutFile or FsExecuteFile call, of which only FsPutFile would make real sense I suppose.Flavius wrote:Right now by dragging directories and files from these lists into the Complex CD pane only a message "error writing file..." appears.

In case you only plan to add *all* the files in such a list to the data project, I can add a function that lets you copy/drag the actual .lst file to the project pseudo-directory, having it extract the contents and add the named files.
More in the other thread if necessary.

Gruß,
Frank
