Alternative to Oscar's File Renamer:
SpeedRenamer.

It can also rename folders, includes Search and Replace with RegEx and some other editor features.

Maybe someone can tell the author how to detect NTFS compressed files? In another forum he asks for a "VCL for Delphi 6 that can list such files".

Excuse silly me, please, but I cannot figure out why do you need a renamer if you use TC? Something wrong with MRT except it is modal?

Don't excuse yourself, just check before you ask...
1. TC doesn't include that special functionality Oscar and SpeedRenamer offers yet.
2. Even if TC will support that functionality in TC 7, it doesn't mean that it's forbidden to use other renamers. MRT is not the solution to all renaming needs.

MRT is not the solution to all renaming needs.
Especially if the names are unicode...

Thanks for that info!

Unfortunately this here spoils the fun a bit:
Note that SpaceMonger 2.1 RC2 is made available for evaluation purposes only, and will expire after the second week of July 2006.
But I'll have my finger on the next release for sure...

Great news. My favourite DL manager either.
