Custom column in Recycle Bin

Post by *Moren »

I'd like to add custom column to my recycle bin. Especially Date Deleted for better sorting. Do you know how to do it?

I think a custum columns view, View Mode and Auto Switch Mode is possible in/for recycle bin (in german: \\Papierkorb\)
Didn't you try it yourself yet?

However, I do not know which plugin provides the fields "Date Deleted" or "Original Location" (as displayed in Windows Explorer).

This one https://totalcmd.net/plugring/decBin.html seems to work fine.

Ahh, thanks!

Unfortunately, it does not work for me - please see the => picture. ...

In the files marked in blue are the "Original name", "Original Location", and "Date deleted":

$I3PF8ZG.doc   08.07.2018 00:32:42 110 -> D:\Daten\WINWORD\Sonderzeichen_Kopie.doc -> deleted on 8.7.2018
$IKUWROA.doc 08.07.2018 00:32:42 106 -> D:\Daten\WINWORD\Kreissymbol_Kopie.doc     -> deleted on 8.7.2018

Unfortunately, the plugin does not show this data.

I would also like to mention that every drive (for example C:, D:, I:, J: ) has its own Recycle Bin.
The Recycle Bin from Windows Explorer (cm_OpenRecycled) collects all deletions, i.e. the deletions of e.g. drive C:, D:, I:, J:.

A path to the aforementioned ("Collection-") Recycle Bin from Windows Explorer (cm_OpenRecycled) is not known to me,
i.e. if necessary, one might have to query the Recycle Bin of every possible drive, provided the plugin works at some point!

Hmm, Here it works OK for real recycle.bin folders but not for virtual folder: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/recyclebin.png

EDIT:
I have now tested it with Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 - here it does NOT work, but it works on Windows XP - my first test where it also worked was with Windows 7

EDIT2:
I was wrong about Windows 8.1 - so it works on Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, but not on Windows 10

I was wrong about Windows 8.1, it does work there too (in real $Recycle.Bin).

For each deleted file in the $Recycle.Bin I see two entries with corresponding names like: $IJ3L0BD.inc and $RJ3L0BD.inc - the $R* file is the deleted file itself and the $I* file contains the information about where it came from and its original filename etc. In Windows 7 and 8.1 and the $I* files are 544 bytes, whereas they only are 72 bytes in Windows 10. So $MS has changed the format, and that is probably why the plugin fails.

Under Windows XP the information about the deleted files are stored in one single file called Info2.
