Mouse over Menu makes it thicker
I believe I have found a bug.
When I move my mouse pointer over the menu (not click to select, but just to move the mouse pointer over the menu), that particular menu(s) displays little thicker. It gets thicker and thicker as I move over the mouse point again and again.
However, when I left-click to select the menu, that particular menu returns back to normal.
Here's the screenshot for better understanding.

And I am using TC 7.0pb1 on Windows XP x64 w/ Korean MUI and changing font doesn't help.

That must be an x64 thing - nothing like that here with 32bit XP.

Unfortunately I cannot confirm this problem with the default theme. What XP theme are you using?

It could be because of the used cleartype font. Apparently Windows doesn't clear the menu item background before redrawing.
What you can try is to disable the XP style background in Configuration - Options - Layout.

Thanks for the comment. As you suggested, I changed the theme, but it didn't help.

Yes, indeed. It is the ClearType issue. As soon as I turned off the ClearType feature, menu displayed properly.
But what's weird is that with TC 6.55a, menu displays just fine even with ClearType feature turned on.
Thanks.

Did you try to turn off the XP style background in Configuration - Options - Layout as I suggested above?

So apparently there is a bug in Microsoft's implementation of menu bar backgrounds with Cleartype fonts. I don't see any solution how to fix that, the menu bar is outside of my influence.

In 6.55 and before there was no XP-themed background in the menu bar.sangwooksohn wrote:As I mentioned above, TC 6.55a and prior versions do not have such problem.

Yes indeed - it must be a problem with the drawing of a themed menu bar background. Now I only need to find out whether cleartype is on or off, so I can turn off the theming...
