Directory Sync, SYNCOPEN and [SyncOptions]
Hi,
directory sync has new options to store predefined sets
and can be launched via SYNCOPEN saved_sync_name.
Works so far.
Cool, long waited for
Has anybody figured out how to "always" start with certain
button settings, but using the directories from the current windows?
SYNCOPEN does not help if <saved_sync_name> has no directory entry.
I tried %P for <name>_L and <name>_R, also no success.
thanks

This is of course NOT intentional. I will change it. Thanks for informing me!Has anybody figured out how to "always" start with certain

Bug 1 is fixed in 7pb2
(sticked to directories/does not use the ones in active windows)
New strange behaviour, or is it a bug:
Using stored sets kills the "only selected (in main window) setting,
tickbox and text is greyed out.
Win98, WinXPpro,
directory selections in both windows, or in one window, same results.
Same issue if saved set has directories stored.
have fun coding,
Peter

This is intentional - you cannot store the names of the selected files/dirs in a stored search.Using stored sets kills the "only selected (in main window) setting, tickbox and text is greyed out.

Ok so far, I did not expect it to "store" the "selected files/dirs" in a set.
But, I thought the function would use the selected directories/files
from the 2 windows. At the moment, it clears the selected dir/files
and compares everything, thats stupid, in my opinion.
I was waiting for the "stored set" function for a long while,
great to see it is now implemented, THANKS.
Could only be enhanced by an extra button like "my default compare"
(wow, only 1 klick...) .... and use the selected dirs.
have fun,
Peter

Ah, I didn't think about this way to use stored searches. I will not disable the checkbox (but not remember its state either).

Thanks. Good news at the right time, just had "Lebkuchen und
Plätzchen direkt aus der Konditorbackstube" plus a good Illy.
So maybe tcmd v8 will have that ""my default compare" button
(there is a lot of space in the dialog area....), and v9 will then
manage empty directories on both sides.

It's now again possible to check the option "only selected" even when using stored options. Can anyone confirm that? But, I thought the function would use the selected directories/files
