Selection in Lister using Shift key and mouse

I thought for a while where to post this: here or to suggestions thread. Decided to post here.

In lister you can select text by dragging mouse - this is work. But selection using mouse and shift key does not work.
What I mean:
- 1. Open text file in Lister.
2. Place cursor somewhere in the text.
3. Hold down shift key and place cursor in some another position in the text using mouse.
Result: text region between first and second cursor position doesn't selected. But must.

I would hardly call this a bug. It is a missing feature.
But I support having it introduced.

Well, bug or missing feature, it breaks the windows standards.
Handy---

Hello !
• Same as
Petermad, I guess it's missing and should be handy.
• I support too, if it's feasible (when using the text cursor, of course).
- That works in all text editors…

Yes, I have added this - please try it, and report any problems with it! As you can see from the addition date, I didn't have much time to test it after adding it...

It works flawlessly so far but there is no visual indication of a marked EOL char like CR/LF. Maybe you can add that?
Illustration from metapad, line 1 and 2 has marked EOL char, line 3 has not:

This is possible only when the text cursor is on.

I have tried both modes. The EOL char is also not marked when cursor is on.

It is not that I disapprove of your request for marking EOL's - I think that it is a good idea
But I use metapad too, and by me it doesn't work this way, see:

Is that because I use the LE version, or have I missed some configurable option?

LE doesn't support that, indeed.

I tried to mark end of lines, which worked OK - but they remained when removing the selection, so I had to remove this feature.
