Small bug in MkDir-Dialog

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Small bug in MkDir-Dialog

Post by *tommot »

When you try to make a new dir for the first time (or the MkDirHistory-section in wincmd.ini is deleted), click the arrow next to the (empty) listfield and then click OK or Cancel (or press ESC), nothing happens.
Only pressing ESC again or clicking around a few times closes the dialog.
It seems, that the empty dropdown-list is unvisibly open. If there is only one item in the MkDirHistory, clicking the buttons also doesn't work with the list dropped down.

This does not seem so, this is really so. :D Windows opens the droep-down list even if it's empty, but you just can't see it (indeed, there's nothing to see). And the focus is in this opened drop-down list. To perform any action in the dialog, you should first return the focus back to the dialog by closing the drop-down list - and this is the standard behaviour in the Windows itself, not in TC.

Yes, this is indeed a Windows misfeature, sorry.
