Incorrect Size in same Directories

I have a exact copy of a Directory from my Harddisk on my Networkstorage.
If I select the DIR with SPACE (count Dirsize) the Size of both Dirs are not the same. The Dir on the Networkstorage are smaller than on my Harddisk.

If I change to the Subdir, all Directories and Files are listened and can be copyed or deleted ect.
This bug is also a problem by synchronize Directories between the Drives.
A copy from the Networkstorage to the Harddisk create a Totalpercent bigger than 100%.

In other Application (e.g. Explorer) and
if the Harddisk directly connected with USB
the Dirsize is correct.

Hello !

• If you have text files in your storage, and if that storage in on a Unix server, it's normal,
because the line-end characters (2 with Windows, 1 with Unix).

On the Server are more binary files than text files and the Windows Explorer shows the correct size.
The Different between the Dirs is too much (i don't think, its only the text file problem you wrote)

for example one Dir:

Networkstorage Lists: 5.642.945 Bytes
Correctly Size (on Local HDD): 99.111.491 Bytes !!

And a DOS-Program named Volkov Commander (a Norton Commander Clone) shows the Size correctly on both drives.
So it must be a Total Commander-Problem.

Some files may be hidden/system. If you hide them in TC, they will not be counted either. The same happens when you use the new ignore list option.

The Different Size can't be only from Hidden/System-Files.
In TC, i have selected "show Hidden/Systemfiles (Experts only)".

The/my Problem is the Directory-synchronise function.
Any files are saved on the networkstorake are "marked" as not saved an will be synchonised, although thy are okay and in the same version as of my local Harddisk.
I use the Networkstorage as backup so it's very bad if the synchronise function not reliably.

The ignorelist in TC-Options is empty.

What can i do??

Maybe the path+name is longer than 259 characters?

Definitely not. The length of the path+name is approx. 60-150 characters.

Sorry, I don't have any explanation then.

Please try this: Go into the directory and check the sizes of the directories within (Alt+Shift+Enter). This way you can find out what isn't counted.
