[REQ] CRC-check enhancement previously asked...

Post by *wanderer »

Since we are in a phase of greatly enhancing TC, how about this old REQ?

Also, how about enlarging the window a little or perhaps make it resizable?

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.

Yes, I also wanted to refresh this idea.

If you need to check more files it's hard to find the wrong now. It would be nice if the wrong ones were marked with colour. It would be nice if we could sort, filter the results but it of course need to change whole the window (the way how it's displayed).

Coloring and window resizing would at least be a (hopefully) simple and (certainly) very helpful step. After that, other enhancements might also be discussed.

Yes, I also hope it's simple (if the component which Christian use for displaying the result allows for using colors or icons) .
The rest of my suggestions are just my dreams :-)

CRC checking window size too small

Post by *VicVega »

Yes I agree about introducing a wider or realizable window. Long filenames just don't fit.

Late answer, but Kana Solutions has a free right-click MD5 checksum calculator ...
"Kana Checksum is a Windows' program that can be used to verify the file by calculating its CRC32 checksum or MD5 checksum."
