In the help file I can read :
If you only want to rename a file in place, press SHIFT+F6. This will open an inplace edit window around the file to be renamed. Pressing Shift+F6 again will select just the name of the file, without the extension.
Can you add a third function for shift+f6, which will select only the extension instead re-selecting the whole filename ?

file.ext
file.ext
file.ext

Hi byblo,

Support + :) But...
I guess that is a great risk for novel users. Imagine: An user that change o delete the extension mp3 by sss3 or avi by a different extension, umh... Perhaps never can hear that file doing double-click at that audio file.

An switch in wincmd.ini for activate this function could be the solution (I think)

BTW: Win XP by default always warn when the extension is changed.
