WMFAllowed question

Can someone tell me the difference between the values 1 and 3?
1 = Allow to display WMF (Windows Metafile) images in Lister and thumbnails.
3 = Show WMF files and folder thumbnails
WMFAllowed definitely disables directory thumbnails. I assume that it works like this:
1 = WMF in Lister
2= Directory thumbs
3 = 1+2

In this case this would be a serious documentation error (compared to other reported documentation errors :wink: ).

Ok four in one

:) Hello Christian !

• I've WmfAllowed=3 and I get the 4-in-one thumb nail for a folder containing *.WMF, as announced for that flag “3”…

• Please, watch this image.

I never doubted that WMFAllowed=3 works like this. The problem is IMHO the misleading documentation of WMFAllowed=1.

I don't see why it is misleading - it does what is says - enables support for *.wmf files in lister and thumbnail view of .wmf FILES - but it does NOT show the 4-in-one thumb nail for FOLDERS.

It is not just for folders containing .wmf files it is for any folder containing pictures of any kind. And if you use WmfAllowed=1 you turn the 4-in-one thumb nail for a folders completely off - not just off for folders containing .wmf files.

:) Hello Peter!
It is not just for folders containing .wmf files it is for any folder containing pictures of any kind.
• Since that INI entry stands for the *.WMF type, this is illogical :?

- It might act for this type only, IMHO…

I agree - I think the reason is that Ghisler don't want to slow TC down having to check every folder for *.wmf files before deciding to show the 4-in-one folder thumbnail or not.

Needs a doc

:) Still the holy “Speed” reason… :P

- I'll add an accuracy in the Tutorials about this, I guess it's useful to do…
