Visual bug in inline rename

Post by *mnerec »

* If you have files A, B & C and make TC move file A in the background while you inline rename B,
* then when moving A is finished, B & C are moved one line up visually, except that the inline rename of B is visually in the same place as before.
* That means line 1 shows B and line 2 shows the inline rename of B.

Screenshot that shows the effect

Edit:
Program version: TC v7.0b3
Refresh Settings enabled:
* "Refresh when files are created..."
* "Also when size, date..."
* "Update footer"
* "Update header"

It seems i wasn't quick enough here. :)

Anyway, i cannot confirm this.

In TC6.56, the inline edit mode is aborted and the panel is refreshed (not very good behavior).
In TC7pb3 it's much better. The panel is not refreshed at all so the inline-rename mode remains. When the inline-rename is finished (by abort or ENTER), then the panel is reefreshed and shows the correct data.

Please state the TC version you are using.

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.

Strange, I will try to reproduce it. However, the correct file should still be renamed...
