1) tooltips for hotlist/history buttons should behave as all other tooltips; it's been enough time - everyone knows what the buttons do. we should be able to disable the tips.
2) disabling menu icons (and i'm glad they can be disabled) leaves bullets instead of checkmarks in the Show menu. no big deal, but i preferred the checkmarks. by the way, the reason i had the icons disabled is that they increased the height of the menu items.

Well, that's correct, since you can only activate one choice at the same time.

It uses both bullets AND checkmarks depending on the command. These commands show checkmarks when enabled:
cm_LeftDirBranch
cm_VerticalPanels
cm_SyncChangeDir
cm_SwitchWatchDirs
cm_SwitchIgnoreList
cm_VisCmdLine
cm_VisDirTabs
cm_FtpHiddenFiles
cm_VisButtonbar
cm_VisDriveButtons
cm_VisTwoDriveButtons
cm_VisFlatDriveButtons
cm_VisDriveCombo
cm_VisDirTabs
cm_VisCurDir
cm_VisHistHotButtons
cm_VisTabHeader
cm_VisStatusbar
cm_VisCmdLine
cm_VisKeyButtons
cm_VisFlatInterface
cm_VisXPThemeBackground
cm_SwitchHidSys
cm_SwitchLongNames
cm_Switch83Names
cm_SwitchOverlayIcons
cm_SwitchDirSort
Commands that are dependant on other commands (like fx cm_SrcByName and cm_SrcByExt) uses a bullet.
