Hello,

I am tryin to make secure ftp connection to a host, but TC PB3 can not do this. I have this log:

Code: Select all

--------
Connect to: (<date>)
hostname=<somehost>
user=<someuser>
startdir=/
<somehost>=<someip>
220 .
AUTH TLS
530 Please login with USER and PASS.
AUTH SSL
530 Please login with USER and PASS.
QUIT
Old FS plugin for TC6 connects to this host normally, WinSCP program too. Is it possible to make TC connect successfully?

PS: sorry for my english

Hi,
No, only FTPS is supported internally, not SFTP.

Is it difficult to support SFTP with FTPS? Imho, TC must have full support of secured ftp connections. No partial and incomplete.

Sorry, SFTP and FTPS are very different from each other. There is no OpenSFTP library which I could use.

How this program is free? This program use putty. Maybe TC will support putty too? No need to distribute putty with TC. I think it will be great if it will be done.

:) Hello !

• Sounds interesting, but if you know a way to get the programme @ download, please let's know…

- I can't here, even from TC. I got only a *.php page instead. :(

2 Clo:

I also experienced problems using the default download site
(Paris, France - Europe ), but as I switched it (e.g. to Düsseldorf), download was possible!

Do not use download managers and everything should download normally.

Got it…

:) Hello !

• Well, finally I got it (with the download manager…).

- It's only the EXE "as is", not even zipped…
- I've downloaded the French language DLL “WinSCP3.fr” too (it's a pretty crap, needs 2 days to correct all…),
but it doesn't appear in the <Language> combobox…
- Not any INI file created anywhere…
- If you¦anybody knows a way to get the language, please let me know, TIA (before I press Shift+Del on that folder…) :twisted:

Did you try to download the installer? Did you try connection through this program? Do you understand english, at all?? What the target of your posts? I can write nonsense too. My bad english allow me to use this program successfully. Did you just graduate a school? I think no. So, please, write without misplaced cavil.

Sorry if I was rude, but I do not understand how it's impossible to download the installer and impossible to use the program with english interface?

:) Hi !

• This not rare that I can't download from some sites, due to my location, provider and¦or whatever else.
- In the case, I didn't get the installer, but an EXE which looked like a SFX, that it isn't.

• A friend could download the installer from another country.

• I don't use the programmes in English, despite I've not any problem with that language, but that sucks a lot.

• The French DLL is really a crap, and it's even impossible to use a corrected one (stupid protection, while it's a freware…)

• I hope that Ch. Ghisler'll implement the basic stuff, since it's free and not Swiss, sooner or later (rather sooner)…
- Doing so, we would get the function and its strings properly translated with our old good text files…

Hm... I was wrong about using standalone putty. WinSCP use the sources of the putty. Here you can find the sources of the WinSCP (including putty sources).
I hope Christian will find a way to include SFTP.
