[bug]TC 7b3 'Compare files by content' - edit mod

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[bug]TC 7b3 'Compare files by content' - edit mod

Post by *eugensyl »

Context:
- left: file1.txt
- right: file2.txt inside into RAR archive
- TC 7b3 'Compare files by content', edit mod

In right are few lines more. Select, copy right to left.

TC WILL CLOSE!

It's wrong. It must keep the temporary files, I mean.

Repeat: I don't want to write in RAR archive.

Best wishes,
My Best Wishes,

Eugen

I cannot confirm this either. I guess that the compare tool has problems with the specific text which you try to copy from one window to the other.

Can you please send me two sample files by e-mail, so I can try it myself? Just truncate the files 2-3 lines below the problematic part, and then try to reproduce the error. If you can, pack the files and send them to me by e-mail, please. Note: Please contact me first for special delivery instructions if the attachment is larger than 500k!

Thanks for your help!

I didn't hear from you since you reported this bug. Can you still reproduce it? If yes, please send me the test files by e-mail to beta at ghisler dot com!
