[REQ] Branch View of selected dirs

Post by *Jungle »

I have some dirs with a lot of subdirs containig hundreds of files, so switching to branch view takes too much time.
It would be nice to have an ability to use branch view with selected dirs only.
E.g. if no dirs selected - "full" branch view, if some selected - for these dirs only.

You can use the search with the option Only search in selected directories/files.
Ok, i is not exactly as convenient as pressing ctrl-b, but as a workaround it works pretty well.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

I personally use another workaround: create some empty folder, make junctions to all the selected folders there (via my NTFS Links tool), and press Ctrl+B in that folder. It will contain then only the files I need.

That is a old request, for which even Christian showed interest a long time ago, but nothing since then :(

I also hope this feature will be added some time.

A simple way would be to have a kind of 'Quick branch view': When its acivated and you select directories in the source panel, all containing files will be shown in the target panel.

For me the problem would be to figure out which directories are part of the branch but this problem already exists for the existing function "show only selected".
