not a bug but it could be improved

This isn't really a bug, but something that could be improved on. Version beta4 on Windows XP Pro SP2. I selected a folder on an external USB drive for deletion (shift+del). This folder included about 180GB of data. TC went into a 2-minute hiatus (and its window blanked) before it displayed the usual prompt "The directory ... is not empty. Do you want to delete it..." - I was almost going to kill it with task manager. There could be a message box added to indicate that TC is working, before the "The directory ... is not empty..." prompt.

Just turn off the counting of the occupied space in Configuration - Copy/Delete. Or press Esc instead of waiting.

I don't see any such option in the configuration dialog. Which option did you have in mind?
Or press Esc instead of waiting.
Yes, possibly. Thanks

Sorry, not Copy/Delete, but Operation page. The option is Calculate space occupied by subdirectories; uncheck before copying/deleting.

I win !
