[Bug] TC7rc5, TC dosent minimized to system tray

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

[Bug] TC7rc5, TC dosent minimized to system tray

Post by *Xtrician »

Hello,

I reported on this bug a lot of times why nobody see it?
Im working with TC everyday, and all the the day, and its just like timer, after few hours in wont minimized to system tray.

Im working hours to catch the problem and to see how its happen but its happen as he want.

Its happen when you copy, move, delete files from TC. But many times.
And when the PC is slow and stuck by other program, i try to minimize TC to sys tray and he dosent minimized.

This is the two things its happen i think.

And maybe its happen by other 3rd applications running.
But im using knowing programs like eMule, Opera, Miranda etc...

Im using
Win XP Pro SP2
TC7rc5

I hope that bug will fixed!

Thanks!
Elad

Not reproducible here.
My system is actually running since 709 hours (>29 days) nonstop under W2k SP4, with TC always running, too. And it still minimizes to tray (like it ever did)...
Who the hell is General Failure, and why is he reading my disk?

I had problems with minimize too. I had reported them some months ago. Christian suggested it might have been VNC but unfortunately uninstalling it did not solve the problem. It still appears randomly (not that often though) after having TC open for some time (more than half an hour usually) and heavy-use the PC. The only way to get rid of it is to restart TC. It doesn't appear that often but it is annoying.

It would be nice if there was a "Restart TC" menu item (i think it has been suggested in the past) which would restart TC but preserve all session settings (open tabs, tab settings etc), like FireFox has. This might also help when installing/removing plugins (or might make things a mess :) )...

Normally using latest TC on:
x32: WinXPx32 SP3
x64: Clients/Servers from Win7 to Win11 and Win2K12Srv to Win2K22Srv, mainly Win10 though.

Several users (and me) at forum.wincmd.ru have the described problem. Unfortunately it appears randomly and we can't find the source of it.

Can you check if you use the same program on all computers, like the same virus scanner or shell extension tool, please?

Yes, we will try.
The only thing we've noticed up to now is that the problem dissapears if we don't use a swap-file.
