Multi rename tool: "autocasing" of directories

When you use the multi rename tool with "First of each word uppercase" on directory names containing a "." all words after that point will be set to lower case.
The same happened to file names some versions before, I think you just forget fixing it for directories.

No, it's the same for files and folders! The text after the LAST dot is not changed, and this is intentional.

If you don't want this, use the following placeholder in the name field instead, and set the upper/lowercase option to unchanged:

[F][N]

But I think this shouldn't be applied for directories, because directories with extensions aren't normal.

[F][N] is unusable if I want to rename files and directories at once...

People shouldn't be using dots in a dir-name, or more tha one dot in a filename. it's asking for trouble.

I don't think, that the extensions in the folder names are unusual. The folders are just 'special' files in the file system, aren't they?

They aren't unusual at all and are a standard for version numbers, etc...
