"upload in background"

when uploading large structures it would be quite handy to have the

"upload in background" option

also availible when the transfer is running

like that option is availibe when doing local file transfers

atm i need to decide if i want to do the ftp-transfer in background BEFORE i start it.

"skip file"

on large transfers i often see that i upload a large file that i dont need to upload - but i cant skip it anymore cuz cancel stopps the entire ftp upload"

to have an "skip file" option would be handy

skipfile would do this:

#1 del the half-uploaded file on the server
#2 continue with next file in list

Bumping this one as i would really like to see the upload in background function BUT an option that minimize only the uploading window not the whole TC. I would like to do some other things in tc while it's uploading the file and i neeed to open second Tc to do it. I know that's not a priority to anyone really but maybe this will come true :)

edit: Ignore me. I just found background download/upload manager in tc :P

just found a settings combo that makes this even more painful.

in case you select the option "Allow only 1 copy of Total Commander at a time" - which prevents you from starting a second instance of TC - it can really hurt to forget checking the background transfer option!

suggest:
precheck background transfer option as a default when "1 copy at a time" is set in settings

alternative:
warn user "entire tc access will be blocked for ftp transfer"

My suggestion: don't block the whole TC with transfer, block just one panel/tab:
