Tabulator size in the Lister

The Lister utility (when pressing F3 to view a file) always uses a preset amount of spaces (8 spaces) when displaying a tabulator in a Text file using Ascii charset.

I use this quite often to quickly view code and the huge tabulator size expands the lines very much and cuts them when they reach a certain length (wrap text disabled) so they can't be viewed properly.

It would be very nice if the Lister utility could let the user set the amount of spaces to display for a tabulator.
And it would be great if also the problem with cutting lines which are too long when wrap text is disabled could be fixed.

Adjust in INI

:) Hello ! Welcome aboard !

• In <wincmd.ini> change the tab width like :
[Lister]
TabWidth=n
where “n” is the width you wish…

I agree, that "Tab width" option should be visible in Lister options dialog. Like the "Lines from top of list".

Enlarge the box…

:) Hello Alexeï !

• I agree too, but like you know certainly, the Configuration dialogue of Lister is full to bursting !
{Full like an egg in French ;) }

- Hence, the box needs to be enlarged, or split into two pages via a tab, for example…

Thanks Clo! Solved my problem immediately.

Been looking for it for a long time.

Great forum for the best and most used utility by me around (in my opinion).
