Better encoding selection in file-search dialog

As the “ASCII”, “UTF-16”, and “UTF-8” options in the file-search dialog are mutually exclusive, it would be better if these options were presented in a combobox. That way it’s easier to add more encodings later. We lose the mnemonics to the encodings, though, which is bad, but this can perhaps either be simulated, or at least the last used encoding can be remembered (which is more important and not done today).

But why do I as the user have to decide in which way the files to find are encoded? I want to find files containing a text. TC should find them no matter which encoding is used.

Yep. I was going to post a separate suggestion for this (that is, adding a “Determine encoding automatically” option, alternatively a “Automatic” item in a combobox.
It may be useful to specify an encoding when Total Commander guesses wrong, but automatically determining it is nicer.

Maybe the
TextSearch-Plugin can help, too, in situations where you don't care about the encoding of files.
P.S.:
Support+ (as long as "autodetect" / "search all encodings" is optional).
