You wanna rename some files which should be found by "Find files" operation [ALT+F7 shortcut], and then rename found list of files to another file_names. Proceed following steps:

1) press [ALT+F7] shortcut to make "Find files" dialog visible;
2) in opened "Find files" dialog prefill "Search_for" attribute correctly to let application finds some files (you wanna rename them later in one of next steps);
3) "Search result" list should be prefilled by some found files in still opened "Find files" dialog;
4) now press "Feed to listbox" button available in opened "Find files" dialog. Result will be visible in active TAB of application, named "Search result:";
5) in list of "Search result:" TAB move to files found by point 2) and try to rename them into another names by [SHIFT+F6] shortcut;
6) RESULT: files really will be renamed, but in "Search result:" list stay untouched, with old names, which don't exist already at this stage (point 6) ).

Suggestion: how about to change renamed files from their old names to new in all situations, including "Search result:" list as the result of "Find files" operation?

Probably you should upgrade to TC 7.01? TC behaved this way in 6.56, but not in 7.01 anymore, AFAIS.
