Don't dig for folder tab contents if they're gone

It happens often I click a folder tab, wondering what it was again, and it turns out to be a timed-out or disconnected ftp connection, or a slow drive in the Noreread setting. TC tries to reconnect to the server, makes me wait or shows dialogs to be clicked away. cm_GotoPreviousDir to such a closed location has the same habit.
I wish TC would not try to reconnect, but instead just show me the old data, or some info like the URL. I'll press the cm_RereadSource button if I still like it, or close the tab if I don't. I'm aware a tab can be closed without selecting it, but the tab name alone is not enough for my lazy memory.
On a similar note, when you close TC while an ftp tab folder, then restart TC, obviously it can't show the contents, but now it doesn't try to reconnect but switches the tab to c: and the ftp location is to be found in history. I guess it's the same for drives in Noreread2. But I wish TC would do the same as above: show me the info about what the tab contained, so I remember where I left last time. I'll press cm_RereadSource if I still want to go there, or I'll press the c: drive button if I want that.
PS pretty much the same as thread 4015
