Windows generates a wrong window when applications open/save a file, my suggestion is that TC manage (builtin ) this window

Sorry, my crystal ball has broken today. What exactly is your idea, your suggestion?

karlchen,
Fortunately mine works.

Save dialog with TC instead of Explorer, similar to this four year old German thread -
total commander als file-open dialog ersatz?, or perhaps even these two threads:
FlashFolder - access TC dir menu from any Open/Save dialog
FavMenu 2.0

I don't think that's this could be done easily.
- There are a lot of different Save/Open file dialogs in the wild.
- Often these dialogs are customized standard dialogs.
And TCs implementation must support these customizing too.
- Christian must support 32 and 64 Bit versions of several windows systems (xp, vista,...)
At least a lot of work, while the newest M$ OS offers nearly the same possibilities:

I agree on all 3 points:
1. I hate the MS Open/Save dialogs and often wished to have a "small TC" inside it instead of a "small Explorer"
2. Indeed the Vista version seems more usable than the ones before
3. This is definitely not a small job
So it's a complicated matter, I guess...

It is complicated but...
Once I've seen this in action:

nothing is impossible.
