Computer 1 (source): Core2 2,66GHz, 4GB ram, VistaSP1, fast harddrives
Computer 2 (destination): P4 3,0GHz, 2GB ram, XPPro, fast harddrives
Network: Cat6 cabling, gigabit switch, no router between
Left panel showing local computers harddrive (source)
Right panel showing networked computers harddrive (destination)
Then I select a file, size does not matter, and press f2 for queueing the copy. The right panel (destination) updates extremely slow and browsing on that one is almost impossible. I have several computers on the lan and its the same on whatever destination. Between 2 harddrives on the same computer there is no problems.
The problem was there even before VistaSP1 update.
I have run the netch command to disable various vista network stuff, no help.
In Total Commander under Copy/Delete I've tried " \ " in compatibility mode, no help.
When checking "Use copy+paste via Explorer (only in case of copy problem)" the problem is gone!
There was never any problem before i upgraded my main computer to Vista but the "Use copy+paste via Explorer..." makes me believe there is something going on with TC on Vista.
This is very bad because i use the background copy/move very much.
Any ideas what to do?
Edit: Have been using my ini-iles for some while and now tried a clean install and now it works like a charm
