A nice addition to the "folder-tree" or the commander itself would be an option to display the size of each folder.
Directory Size Calculator
Tool for recursively calculating the total size of a directory tree

This tool was developed to help you to analyze and clean-up the files/directories on your hard drive.
It recursively calculates the total size of all directories and presents the results in a tree chart.
The directories will be sorted by their size, so you can easily trace where your discspace is exhausted.
Futhermore you can directly move or delete files and directories if necessary.

Current Release: v1.07a (2007-08-06)

Download: Directory Size Calculator (Binary)
Download: Directory Size Calculator Source Codes
This tool for example can do this. And it's open source (as far as I know). Maybe you can add this feature in the future.

I am sorry if anyone else already has suggested this feature.
If this feature is already implemented please tell me how to enable it.
Sorry for my bad English.

Well Total Commander has a content plug-in interface which allows displaying all kind of information related to files and directories. It can be used in many places but currently not the separate directory trees. Being able to display the directory sizes inside the tree would be a great addition.

The content plug-in to be used for numerical directory calculations is DirSizeCalc

2c1x Have a look at TxQuickView lister plugin. Quick view of a directory shows the directory sizes in a tree view.
