FTP Definitions for non-English files

It is a bit tricky I agree, but unfortunately if FTP server feeds directory listing in some character encoding it is apparently impossible to set it up in the definition string.

I have open source Filezilla FTP server, and if I host files with non-english characters in filenames it converts them into UTF8 format.

Funny to see same folder displayed simultaneously in TC over FTP and native access :) BTW non-unicode support is enabled for that specific character set (in this case cyrillic).

I agree it can be tricky to detect that automatically but would like at least manual configuration option for any specific FTP server.

Tested with Fx3 and it works, however requires manual switching to UTF8 encoding for the directory listing.

Thanks for the reply, where can I see the list of Unicode-related features upcoming in 7.50 so not to create additional suggestions? :)

(Like feed to list box not working for unicode filenames etc :)

Well start here: http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=18619

And I can inform you that feeding unicode file names to listbox will be supported.
