You have to change the processortype to all to make the cab on the new ARM working.

There simply seams to be no more ProcessorType tag!

But how do I prevent installation on unsupported but existing devices like X86, MIPS or SH3/SH4 then? Is it possible to specify multiple processor types instead of just one? If yes, what's the processor type of this new device?

I think it's easier to unpack the CAB via SKTOOLS and install it manually. Or try to install it directly in SKTOOLS.

All the CABs I have seen that works on i200 have no processortype given in them...

Maybe they were .Net programs? These are not processor-specific.

Since "NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab" is the right cab for the i200 it has to be a ARMv4i in there!

But I haven't seen that processor in the list of CabBuilder...

I'm shure there is an option to exclude devices like "handheld pc". Maybe that will do the fix?

I'm already excluding devices like "handheld pc". It's about older PocketPCs with MIPS or SH3 processors. There are also some newer devices with X86 processor.

What's the problem? It is clear from the name of the install cab file which is the right one! So everybody can download the right cab for his device I think...

That way around is easier than some of the users have to make their own working cab.

Hallo,

keine Ahnung ob das hier richtig ist, mir erscheint es so. Der Fall ist ähnlich wie bei Psylence. Ich hab ein SGH-i900 und möchte die Pocket-Version draufhaben. Alle Varianten sind nicht geeignet sagt das Teil. Also die größte Datei in cecmd.exe umbenannt uns schon geht das zu installieren. Nun das Problem:

Der Commander läuft zwar aber nicht so wie ich es erwartet habe. Auf einem PDA hab ich WM 5.0 und TC/CE 2.0 zu laufen. Dort erscheinen neben dem Pfeil (ein oder zwei Fenster) zwei Punkte für eine Ebene nach oben und der Backslash um ganz nach oben zu kommen. Das beides wird auf dem Handy nicht angezeigt. Ist ne Einstellungsfrage oder wie schaut das aus?

Sollten auch angezeigt werden - welche Version haben Sie denn installiert (PocketPC, Windows CE oder Smartphone)? Letztere ist nur für Geräte ohne Touchscreen gedacht.

Der Fall ist ähnlich wie bei Psylence [SGH-i200, WM6.1 Standard]. Ich hab ein SGH-i900 [WM6.1 Professional] und möchte die Pocket-Version draufhaben. Alle Varianten sind nicht geeignet sagt das Teil.

Im SGH-i900 (Omnia) läuft auf jeden Fall eine andere CPU:

CPU: 32bit Marvell PXA312, 624MHz (Supported Instruction Set(s): ARMv5TE)

Eine Liste von Handys, die diese CPU benutzen gibt es hier:

Da es nur 8 Geräte sind - und nur das Omnia hierzulande im Gebrauch davon ist, kann ich mir vorstellen, dass es tatsächlich ein ähnliches Problem ist. Auch wenn das Betriebssystem nicht das gleiche ist...
