Folder tab settings lost

The behaviour described in the bug report is either by design, or would be far too complex/time-consuming to be changed

Post by *cheming »

Disabled folder tabs (cm_visDirTab) and closed the TC, the current folder tab settings including which tab is locked, etc. are all lost.

I don't think it's bug because it would be strange if TC could save tabs details after you told him not to use tabs at all.

I can agree that it is unexpected behaviour but that is how it works: switches tabs ON / OFF.

Here my tabs settings are not deleted...

Go to "Configuration" –> "Options" –> "Operations" –> "Save on exit" and uncheck «Directories» and «Panels(…)»,
your tabs should no more be deleted.

But to see your tabs again you must use "cm_visDirTab" and relaunch TC !

Indeed tabs are no longer saved when you turn them off completely - the tab sections in wincmd.ini are simply ignored.

You mean that the tab section will not be overwritten when I turn them off via cm_visDirTab ?

Yes

But they seems to be deleted when you are saving configuration via menu "Configuration" >>>"Save settings" or if you have asked to "Save configuration on exit" as I said in my previous post !
